CONNECT didn't happen by accident. Here's how a few families found each other, and how the story is still being written.
From Café Table to Community
CONNECT began in 2018 with a few families attending the Mandarin service at 101 Church. Though our backgrounds were diverse, we shared a longing: for authentic community and a deeper walk with Jesus.
Having served in ministry, we felt the pressure to appear polished. But our desire was different: to be real, to be known, to grow together in Christ.
Each Sunday, we gathered in a café in Taipei 101. We shared our lives, opened Scripture, prayed, and became a family in Christ.
"We didn't start 
to build a program. We simply longed for a real community to follow Jesus together."
In March 2019, we were commissioned to lead the English Ministry.
After a season away, we returned to 101 Church. Not as a transition, but as a new chapter.
In October 2021, CONNECT became the permanent English Ministry of 101 Church. Today, we gather high above the city we love.
At the heart of it all, our desire remains the same: to be a people who are real, known, and loved, growing together as a family in Christ.
Our Journey
Gathering Begins
Three families start meeting at a café in Taipei 101, drawn together by a shared longing for authentic community and a deeper walk with Jesus. Small, honest, and unhurried.
Commissioned by 101 Church
As more English-speaking families joined, 101 Church formally commissioned us to establish and lead its English Ministry. We said yes — not to build a program, but to cultivate something real.
A Season Away
For a time, we gathered at a different location to better support our growing families. God used that season to make something clear: we are strongest when rooted in a shared church family.
CONNECT Established
With the prayerful support of 101 Church's eldership and pastoral team, CONNECT became the permanent English Ministry of 101 Church. Not a transition — a new beginning.
Growing Together
We gather every Sunday on the 52nd floor of Taipei 101, overlooking the city we love. Families, students, new believers, long-time followers. The story is still being written.

We believe it is vital to be under the covering of 101 Church — a gospel-centered church established with the support of Redeemer City to City — for shared mission, sound teaching, and accountability unto the Lord.
